About Our Trainers

alnd3Lee Walker

Former Senior Art Director of Storm Hairdressing, now heads the Red Rooms Artistic Team.  Lee has forged a highly respected career encompassing stage, photographic and TV work.   Having initially trained at Tony & Guy, Sloane Street, London, his impressive track record gained momentum once moving south with Storm Hairdressing, where, as a protégé of Penny Etheridge, he has gone on to establish himself s an extremely accomplished hairdresser, both in teaching and stage work.  Lee’s ethos is based around not just styling, but also the ever more important area of customer care. Probably one of his greatest achievements was being on stage with Storm at Salon International.

DebbieG

Edward Hemmings

Creative Director of Alan d, Edward Hemmings is celebrating his 13th year in the hair business.  From Junior to Junior Stylist, Edward has worked right through the ranks of management and creative leadership - building strong foundations whatever his chosen arena.  He is now dividing his time between a Creative Directorship and Salon Management for the company that put the 'e' into education - Alan d.

Having enthralled audiences worldwide, created covers for leading magazines, designed hair for charity shows and starred on the small screen as makeover maestro, it's easy for Edward to say 'been there - done that', but he does not.

What Edward does say ensuring why Alan d. maintains their stronghold as market leaders in both commercial hairdressing and education, is 'how can I make it better'.

In reflection of Edwards attributes in hairdressing this remarkable 13th anniversary earmarks the launch of the dMan - the Barber shop, a new service with no confusion between butch barbers of old and the metro sexual expense of male 'groomers'.
